Tanoshi’s move to partner with JoJo Siwa’s XOMG POP! underscores its commitment to diversity in STEM

OAKLAND, Calif., — Tanoshi, the tech company featured on Shark Tank and that is committed to breaking gender barriers and fostering diversity in STEM, today announced it is partnering with pop music sensation XOMG POP! to bring its newest Wireless Kids Headphones for Learning to market. Started by JoJo Siwa, the all-girl pop group will exclusively use Tanoshi’s new headphones. The headphones are expected to be available early next year.

Tanoshi builds laptops and headphones for kids ages 6–12 and preloads the laptops with custom learning apps — — most notably apps that teach kids to code. With a particular emphasis on girls and minorities, the company is championing gender equality and encouraging young girls to pursue STEM careers.

“We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to dream big and reach for the stars,” said Lisa Love, Co-Founder of Tanoshi and a passionate advocate for gender diversity in STEM. “At Tanoshi, we are committed to providing the educational resources and inspiration needed to help girls excel in fields traditionally dominated by men. We are not just a tech company; we are a movement to redefine the future. We are tech done right.”

According to multiple reports, there has been a steady decline in the number of women in tech over the last three decades. One of the primary reasons cited for this decline is that early home computers in the 1980s were primarily marketed to boys and men. By the time women got to college, they were already behind the men in their classes and often dropped out. Tanoshi aims to build and market computers to young girls, engaging them when their technology interests are born and providing the hardware and software tools to empower them to build and innovate into adulthood.

The XOMG POP! / Tanoshi partnership is a natural collaboration to meet young girls where they are, consuming music and content from role models that inspire them. This is a strategic agreement that will put Tanoshi in more households, classrooms and children’s learning centers than ever before. XOMG POP! was created from JoJo Siwa’s Emmy-nominated hit TV show, Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution, where JoJo and Jessalynn Siwa hand-picked the nations’ top singers and dancers to become pop music’s next big sensation. The group has since appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “America’s Got Talent” and released a #1 debut album. Their social media following quickly skyrocketed with more than 3 billion views, 12.5 million YouTube Subscribers and 50 million likes on TikTok in under two years.

The Tanoshi Wireless Headphones

The XOMG POP! Powered by Tanoshi Wireless Headphones, like all Tanoshi products, are designed for learning, playing and safety. They have been designed specifically for children ages 6+ (elementary school and above). They are designed with full immersive stereo sound with a maximum 85 decibels in volume, to protect a child’s eardrums which are not fully developed until around age 10. Most standard headphones go over 85db, which if used by a child for too long can lead to lifelong hearing loss. The headphones are also expertly tuned for phonics learning, which recent studies say is the best way to learn the proper pronunciation of words. Jason Wehner, formerly of Harman Kardon and JBL, is the lead audio engineer and is recognized for engineering some of the best audio products over the last 20+ years. The headphones are expected early next year. Parents and teachers can register on the Tanoshi website to be the first to know when the headphones are available.
